I often get asked the question by a clients:
“What is the difference between Kelowna Botox, Juvederm and Belkyra non-surgical treatments?”
Botox is a purified protein injectable that works by relaxing the muscle that it is injected into. For example, Botox is commonly injected into the procerus muscle and frontalis muscle to soften the frown and forehead wrinkles respectively. The act of softening the the frown and forehead lines confers a refreshed, less tired look and thus youth. Botox has the added benefit of improving skin texture in areas injected thus rendering smoothness and improved skin tone. Botox can safely in expert hands be injected into other areas including the crows feet, lip lines, marionette lines, jawline and neck lines or wrinkles.
Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid filler which when injected into the deeper layers of the skin plumps and lifts the fold and contours of the injected areas, thus ironing out surrounding wrinkles by ways of volume and acting as a foundation for previously deflated fat pads. The hyaluronic acid from Juvederm integrates and assimilates with our very skin’s hyaluronic acid to form smooth contours and surfaces. Along with the lifting effect of the new vycross Juvederm fillers like Voluma, Volift and Volbellla, there is once again improved skin texture, tone and subsequent glow and luminosity after tissue augmentation with Juvederm dermal fillers.
Belkyra is a purified non-surgical fat busting treatment that works by permanently eliminating unwanted fat cells. It is commonly used to decrease the size and eliminate double chins. By improving the contour of the neck and chin area, a youthful look is restored.
